Malawian property owners about to take advantage from the progress in the energy sector

Dye Mawindo, CEO for Millenium Challenge Account (MCA) has indicated that the current efforts to improve the energy sector would soon bear fruits, saying current works were at 60 percent complete.

Mawindo told that the upgrading and rehabilitation going on in the country were going to increase and stabilize national electricity grid. 

Earlier, Aggrey Masi, the Minister of Natural Resources, Energy and Mining, expressed he was glad with the progress in the construction of Phombeya sub-station, saying government would remain involved to improve the energy sector in the country.

The MCC – Malawi Compact is made to increase individual and business incomes and reduce poverty by improving the availability, reliability and quality of power supply, expand access, reduce the cost and revitalize the power sector, among others.
